Describe your life before you had Weight Loss Surgery.

I’m currently 60 yrs old, before surgery I was on a lot of medications. Metformin 1000 mg twice a day, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep meds, once a week shot of Bydureon. I was a smoker, short of breath, couldn’t keep up with my 72 yr old husband. Was depressed most of the time, didn’t
want to go out in public because of the way I looked. I’m 5’4″ and weighed 260 and fluctuated 20 pounds.

How long were you considering Weight Loss Surgery before you came in?
I started out with non invasive ways….medications….didn’t work. Tried fad diets over the years, a real waste of money. Then I talked to my doctor and she referred me to LV Bariatrics. I would say it was a long process, between 20 to 30 years. I got tired of getting my hopes, losing weight only to gain it all
back and more.

What was it like to work with our team?

The office girls….AMAZING! So attentive, friendly and professional. Dr. Pomeranz…..can’t say enough about him and his skills. From office visits to ay of surgery, I felt confident an secure in my choice of weight loss surgery. They answered all of my many questions even if they were a bit of repetitive.

Describe your life now, after Weight Loss Surgery.
I feel better. The weight hasn’t come off the way I thought it would. I’ve lost 25 pounds since June, but the inches are melting off. I’m coming to terms with the slowness of the weight loss and am looking forward to the end result. I’m more like my old self…before the weight gain. I laugh alot more, work with the public 5 days a week.
