Describe your life before you had Weight Loss Surgery.
When I was at my heaviest, I found my health just starting to decline. I was having back pain, shortness of breath, elevated heart rate, etc. I was unable to keep up with my kids, especially outside hiking. I also was running out of options for clothing that t my lifestyle and personality.

How long were you considering Weight Loss Surgery before you came in?
My husband has the surgery over five years ago and I have been considering it for maybe the past three years after seeing he didn’t have any long term risks or side effects. I tried doing intermittent fasting and keto but couldn’t lose more than 20 pounds so I finally looked into the surgery seriously and
decided last year, it would my best option at this point

What was it like to work with our team?
I love Dr. Hanna so much! He is very laid back and listens to his patients. I also appreciated that he listened to my concerns and didn’t knock my lifestyle or choices for after surgery. However, the rest of the team was not great. I had issues with insurance and billing. My very first call, I inquired with billing
how much the whole surgery would be with my insurance from co pays, to coinsurance to tests and procedures needed plus the hospital fee. I was quoted a ballpark price. I found out two days before my surgery, it was double what I was quoted. I understand it being ballpark pricing BUT double is
unacceptable. My insurance didn’t change but instead, they just forgot the hospital fees. I did not appreciate finding that out two days before surgery. If I hadn’t had a saving fund for a house I was saving up for, I would have had to cancel everything because I wouldn’t have had the money. I also had
issues with other members of the team from nutrition to aftercare. I spoke up many times about my natural lifestyle and how I wasn’t interested in sugar free chemical products, my hesitance to prescription meds, etc. and I was brushed off rather than let me speak to Dr. Hanna about my concerns.
I ended up doing things my way with very little assistance or advice.
