Describe your life before you had Weight Loss Surgery.

Before starting my weight loss journey I was on a path of destruction. Mostly everyone on my fathers side of the family was and is overweight, along with all sorts of aliments. Everything from kidney disease, liver problems, diabetes and high blood pressure. I lost my father a couple of years ago and that was the eye opener that helped me finally come in to speak to LV Bariatrics.

How long were you considering Weight Loss Surgery before you came in?
I’ve really never thought about going the weight loss surgery route because I would always say to my self I can always go on a diet and loss it when I want. But really what I was doing was was just kidding myself. I would always say I’ll start next week, but let me get through this week because there was a special event or family function that I know there was going to be lots of food.

What was it like to work with our team?

I must say at first I was apprehensive and embarrassed about going in. Maybe because I was in denial about my weight but then I said what can hurt to talk. I met and talked to so many people at LV Bariatrics but the one how stood out the most was the coordinator Rose. Talking to Rose was like we’ve had known each other for years. I never felt shameful or embarrassed to be there. When I would call she would always take the time out to speak to me or at the very least email me. All the referrals I had to go through she was always helpful and walk me through them.

Describe your life now, after Weight Loss Surgery.
Since December 21st 2021 I’m down 89lbs and feel and look great. A lot people ask me if I did the weight loss to look better? I say no I did it to get healthy. I no longer take medications for high blood pressure of diabetes. My energy levels are great, I look forward to going to the gym or playing baseball.
Oh btw my wife likes the high energy too…lol…
